What factors in your life do you find to be the most motivating?? This is such a critical element in achieving goals, whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. This isn’t just about ‘wanting’ something, this is about the force that drives you to do the very thing that you want; to aim high and achieve something great; to push through pain and barriers to a new level; to get out of a rut or simply make positive changes; to become the best version of you.
I have always found that the balance lies within motivation to make changes/meet goals and being at peace with the present. We could always do better, have better, be better…seriously ALWAYS! If we are so goal directed that we never take time to stop and smell the roses or the coffee (whichever your preference), then we miss out on some of the most fascinating and beautiful things in our present life. This is more than just motivation, this is about intention…intentional thoughts, actions and words. Moving beyond the scope of when I lose these last 20 pounds or when I buy my dream home. Neither of these things are bad, nor am I saying you shouldn’t want them….But there is more to life than what could be; the most precious things are often right in front of you, staring you in the face. Take stalk in how far you have come, in the sweet blessings you have and light a fire under your rear to conquer the next mountain, molehill or step!
